Pa Khonde is a dynamic collective with a mission to champion the emerging alternative music scene in the heart of Malawi. Our passion lies in discovering and nurturing fresh, innovative sounds that challenge the status quo and enrich our cultural tapestry. We do this through a stripped-back artistic experience that aims to connect audiences to artists, taking the shape of audio-visual content for online platforms and intimate sessions around Malawi where the art is at the heart of the night, creating special moments that reveal the spirit of contemporary Africa right now. We also work with alternative underrepresented artists in Malawi through our artist development efforts. We have recently partnered with Paradise Worldwide to help us distribute and promote the artists we work with on a global scale. So far our showcase night Pa Khonde Sessions has exhibited 76 artists in the disciplines of Music, Poetry, Creative Writing, and Visual Arts.
